The Snake that Could Bake

Created for beginning readers and older students who are ESL, this book is in fun-to-read poetry format and uses the easiest-to-use combination of the three types of phonetic symbols to help children learn to read.
Designed with the STEM program, the learning continues with Activity Pages. A fun facts page teaches students that it’s really snakes, not our beloved dogs, who we can’t live without. Not only will your beginning reader use this book over and over for many months learning to read, but once your little one is able to read the top line while covering the phonetic line below – now it becomes a Keepsake Memory Book. Just complete the form in the front of the book and for the rest of your child’s life, they’ll be able to show the very moment they became a reader.
Has praises by celebrities and both phonetic and reptile experts.

Andres, the Mighty Maya Warrior

The first in my Youngbloods Mysteries Series where fourth and fifth graders work together to solve mysteries, this exciting Mid-Grade novel has two mysteries for young readers to solve. First, they must follow the clues to find the buried treasure left centuries ago on Isla Perez off Chich’en Itza, Mexico, even though for centuries many treasure hunters couldn’t find it. In more recent years, archeologists, anthropologists and all kinds of adults have tried to locate the treasure. 12-year old Andy and 10-year old Carlito brave many dangers when they try to find this lost treasure of the pirate Raphael. Andy has a second mystery to solve – this character who shows up every day, getting him in big trouble. He calls himself Balam, the Mayan word for jaguar and looks like a kid in a jaguar costume but he makes magical and impossible things happen. Is he just a strange kid or is he what he claims to be – the 200-year- old jaguar king of the great Amazon Jungle? Young Readers learn about Mexican Culture, Archeology, learn Spanish and Mayan words and the book ends with Activity Pages. It also contains praises from celebrities and experts.
